2. Precautions during use
When the battery is used for the first time, it may not reach the rated capacity of the battery, and it will reach the normal capacity after about 5-10 full charge, use, and discharge cycles;
The electrolyte in the battery is highly corrosive, and protective equipment must be worn during operation;
When installing the battery, it is best to use a suitable sling to make the battery install smoothly and prevent battery damage and electrolyte splashing;
When the battery is in use, it should be prevented from over-discharge and long-time high-current discharge, otherwise it will affect the service life of the battery, and in severe cases, it may cause the connection line and cable to be overheated and burned;
In order to ensure the normal life of the battery, its discharge capacity (depth of discharge) shall not exceed 80% of the rated capacity. The battery must be recharged in time after it is discharged, and the battery must be fully charged before it can be used again. Frequent intermittent charging will affect the battery capacity And life;
The battery should have a good ventilation environment when charging. The charging area must not be a dangerous area. If there is an open flame, there are flammable and explosive gases and other areas. After a period of time, more precipitation, when the concentration of hydrogen in the air reaches 4%-75%, it will explode when it encounters an open flame);
When charging, make sure that there is no cover on the battery. At the same time, the liquid injection plug of each cell must be opened to dissipate the hydrogen as soon as possible;
During charging, the electrolyte temperature should not exceed 50℃, otherwise, try to cool down. If the temperature does not drop, stop charging and continue charging after the temperature drops. (During battery use, if the electrolyte temperature is too high, it will aggravate hydrogen Precipitation, reducing the bonding strength of the active material and the grid, increasing the corrosion of the electrolyte to the electrode plate, seriously affecting the service life of the traction battery and causing premature aging of the rubber sealing ring).

3. Maintenance of forklift battery

Use a damp cloth to clean the surface of the battery pack regularly. Do not use dry cloths (the dry cloth may cause accidents due to static electricity during use). It is recommended to thoroughly clean the surface of the battery pack every 2 weeks.
Measure and check the battery voltage, electrolyte density and temperature not less than once a week. In order to fully understand the status of the traction battery pack, a general inspection and general measurement shall be carried out once a month. The general inspection content is: whether the connection is tight, the electrolyte level, whether the density is normal, whether the voltage is balanced, etc., especially for batteries that use smart charging, the inspection of the battery is often neglected, and the individual problematic battery is not found. , Thereby affecting the performance of the entire battery pack.
If the battery is not used for a long time, it is necessary to ensure that it is recharged once every two weeks, and the battery pack should be charged once a month.
In the process of battery inspection and measurement, it is strictly forbidden to step on or hit the battery cover, liquid filling cover and other traction battery components to prevent damage; it is strictly forbidden to place maintenance tools (wrenches, pliers, etc.) on the battery pack.
