At present, two main types of batteries are popular on the market: lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries. Advantages of lead-acid batteries: safe and cheap; disadvantages: small storage capacity, large weight, no deep discharge, and relatively short life. Advantages of lithium batteries: large storage capacity, light weight, deep discharge, and relatively long life; disadvantages: safety is worthy of attention, and the price is high.
RV battery
The power charging system on the RV: external mains, generator, solar power. Advantages of external mains: no noise, basically unlimited power consumption; Disadvantages: it is difficult to find a place to connect to electricity when you go out. Advantages of generators: basically unlimited electricity use at any time, just have oil; Disadvantages: loud noise. Advantages of solar power generation: no noise, the sun can generate electricity; disadvantages: low power generation efficiency, only enough for lighting or mobile phone charging.

Electricity consumption estimation: We take the air conditioner that everyone is most concerned about and has the highest power as an example. If you want to turn on the air conditioner for 10 hours in summer, the required energy is: 800W×10h=8kW·h (8 kWh), based on the formula: power ×Usage time = power consumption. 12V100AH battery = 1.2 kWh, 48V100AH battery = 4.8 kWh.

As far as current Chinese RVs are concerned, whether you are a C-class RV or a B-class RV, the original car battery is generally 12V, and the electrical appliances generally used in the RV are also 12V, so there is no need to use a converter, and the conversion loss is greatly reduced. (If your original car uses a 24V battery, then it is likely to use a truck chassis).

A 48V battery is far more complex than a 12V circuit, and the conversion will consume more power. When using the 12V power supply, the battery of the original car was used up due to excessive use, which caused the vehicle to fail to start normally. I just want to say that you may have bought an RV several years ago. At present, two systems are used in the electric part of the RV. There is a low-voltage system used, which can charge the battery of the latter when the front car is driving. When the electricity is lower than the limit set by the low-voltage protector, the power will be automatically cut off.

Safety: We are the safe voltage that the human body can withstand is 36V. Therefore, if the 48V voltage is electrocuted, it will cause harm to people, so the completion of 12V can eliminate this problem.

Therefore, in terms of current technology, 12V is more cost-effective than 48V power supply. This mainly depends on personal needs. If you have high requirements for charging time, you still have to choose a 48V power supply!
